Mold Removal Issues

With increased cases in asthma and other health problems, mold has been known to adversely effect younger and older people.  In fact, if a small patch of mold is not removed, it can grow, become airborne and settle in other parts of your premises. In these cases the small mold removal process becomes evidently more complex. EnviroPro removes mold from a room, a house or an entire building and prevents further spread of mold spores by containing the area and using special mold removal equipment that filters 99.9% mold spores from the air.  These air scrubbers are generally set up outside of the area where mold is located and are used to push the air outside of the contained area, where mold whither and dies.

Mold Removal Steps

A typical mold removal project will go through the following steps:

  1. Contain the mold by constructing a containment walls around the mold or known areas hiding the mold.
  2. Filter airborne mold spores by creating negative air pressure
  3. Remove drywall (sheet rock), ceilings, vanities or other areas that need to have mold removed. If more mold has been found than previous thought, EnviroPro certified technicians bring it to the attention of the responsible person, possibly expanding the mold removal scope of work
  4. EnviroPro mold removal technicians begin cleaning everything within the containment area with a mold removal chemical.  This powerful chemical can’t be purchased by individuals.  Only a certified, Florida licensed company buy it.
  5. The final step in the mold removal process is to have an EnviroPro technician fog the area with a disinfectant hospital use, to ensure all mold and mold spores have been covered.
  6. Usually the premises must be tested for mold by an independent inspector.  When no mold is found, the inspector gives a certificate to the premises owner.
